It's Friday, and along with Susanne at Living to Tell the Story and friends, it's time to look back at the week and list a few moments of gratitude.

1. On Monday, Dan and I attended an early Thanksgiving celebration for an organization where I volunteer. It's an annual event, where we get to know the families of the women that come to our center, and we all get to enjoy a delicious Thanksgiving feast! It always tastes to so much better when someone else does the cooking, right?

2. I shared an early morning with Brooklynn on Tuesday, snuggling and reading books while everyone else was still asleep.  Such a lovely way to start the day.

3. Dan worked from home one day this week. We had a coffee break in the morning and then took a walk in the afternoon.  I wouldn't recommend he do this full time! but it sure was a nice change, and I enjoyed the company as I went about my day.

4. We had some light snow earlier in the week, and most of our mornings have been cold with lots of frost. I love the change in season and that first bout of really cold weather.

5. I started a new knitting project this week. Just something simple for a Christmas gift, if it turns out okay! It feels good to be creating something, and keeps my hands busy while watching those Hallmark Christmas movies (another favorite for this week).

How was your week?

You're ahead of us with snow! Although it's pretty chilly out there tonight.I wouldn't be surprised if we get a little skiff!

What are your favourite Hallmark movies? I was thinking of making a list of Christmas movies to enjoy for the season.

Happy weekend!

I love how you embrace the seasons, even the cold times.

The morning coffee break and afternoon walk sounds like a pleasing day. And early morning snuggles are great too!

Have a great weekend!

Sounds like a delightful week, filled with many blessings. I wish that I had learned to crochet or knit years ago. After record breaking warm temps, we are finally a bit cooler here. Have a blessed weekend.

I too love to work with my hands while watching TV. We like to watch recordings of "The First 48," and I crochet blankets or hats. Love to work on a new project!!

I enjoyed your thankful post. I need to do that too! I spend way too much time thinking about my pain.

I enjoy the Hallmark Christmas movies also. We record them so my husband can scroll past the commercials. :)

We have not had an significant snow yet, but Alan did get out the snowblower. He is ready! Have a great weekend.

We don't have the Hallmark channel but I do love some fun Christmas movies so I'll be looking on netflix. We're into our second bout of cold weather and snow fall already. But after the super dry summer I'll take the moisture however it decides to come. Grandbaby snuggle time, so sweet. Enjoy every second!

We're having a cold snap here, but no snow yet. The early Thanksgiving with the organization where you volunteer sounds like such a nice event! Early morning snuggling and reading - what a sweet way to start the day! It was nice to have some time with your husband when he worked at home. I used to cross stitch in the evenings while watching TV with my husband, but it started getting hard to see, even with magnifiers and glasses. Now I do crossword and jigsaw puzzles and play word games with my sisters on my iPad while we watch something, which is fun, but doesn't have the same sense of satisfaction as having made progress on a project.

Karen, sounds delightful! My week was mostly dealing with new technology - not my favorite thing - but I took a few breaks and enjoyed some of the "little things" I find joy in every day.
