Preparing for Advent

Peace. It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.

Advent begins on Sunday. I'm already thinking of how to be more intentional in embracing the peace of the Christmas season.  I dug out this little devotional book that a friend gifted me a couple of years ago. Can't wait to begin.

Advent to me brings back memories of my Mom
getting our wreath out and making sure we had
enough candles and the "right colors" for
them. We would light our candles at dinner
each night during Advent.

Advent Blessings to you.

Your Christmas cactus caught my eye right away. It is lovely! Mine is just beginning to bloom. I am thankful for the peace that is in my heart today because God came in the form of a baby to die for our sins. Peace to all of us who receive Him as our Savior. Thank you for this post.
