Flowers, books and a writing seminar

Back from break;)  Wow, I can't believe a whole month has gone by.  Other than a short road trip, I've been enjoying the month at home, reading books and enjoying the garden. These photos were taken with my phone camera.

I've also been working on a creative writing project.  I'm not sure what it will become -- a short story or something longer, but I'm enjoying the heck out of the process.  I have found a wonderful website and a terrific writing coach.  If you are so inclined, check out Writing Strides. Alissa is running an online workshop and it's free to sign up!

It seems that whenever I take a break from my blog, it's all I can think about, so I'm not going to say the work "break" anymore. I'll just write when the spirit moves me.  I've been doing this for about 10 years now, and it feeds my soul in so many ways, so it's not something I'll ever be able to give up completely.

Another garden photo.

Hope you're enjoying the summer and livin' easy!

It's great to see you back, karen. I love your garden photos...such pretty flowers!

I hear ya on the blog break. I've been blogging since early 2006, and although I get frustrated with what blogging has become (more business these days) and always consider checking out for good, after over 11 years, it is such a part of me that I can never let go completely. So, like you, I just write when the spirit moves me to do so.

I am going to check out Writing Strides. I love to write!!

Happy weekend to you,
Patti

I was happy to see you appear on my blog today. I admire people who can write so I know that you will be loving this project.

Your phone camera is awesome! I need to take a tip from you and crawl under my plants as well. Who would have thought it would be such a lovely picture?

May your Independence Day be filled with picnics and celebrations! Stay safe!

Karen, you sound like you've been enjoying yourself, I really like that! I want to hear more about it when you're ready. Maybe we do just need to blog when the spirit moves us and stop looking at it as another task. We must not let it become a task, right?

Now I've got to get up and pick up a scared little doggie. Fireworks at night, thunder in the day. It's been a rough week for Milo.

Happy 4th to you,
Dewena

Hello Karen,

It looks as if we both had a month long blogging break! I don't know where the time goes anymore, but my time away was filled with good things!

Your creative writing course sounds like fun! Keep at it, my friend. I may need to check that out.

Your garden photos are amazing!
