Looking back at the week

Summer came in full throttle this week, with our temperatures in the high 90s. It's been a week mixed with productivity and also time for relaxation. Both are blessings.

1. I met up with a friend for coffee one morning. We try to get together a couple of times a year and catch up on one another's lives. I always come away with good ideas for books to read, and this time was no exception.

2. My friend and walking partner has a new grandson! He had a rough entry into the world and had lots of people praying for him. He is doing beautifully now!

3. Work continues in the backyard. I hired a couple of teens to move some dirt that has accumulated from all of our projects. They completed the job efficiently and were the nicest, most professional young people. We were so happy to have the job done.

4. Dan is completing another project in our backyard, a lattice screen at the edge of the patio that will add a bit of privacy to our yard and will provide a place for climbing roses to grow. It's nice to see how it is all coming together.

5. Yesterday, was a busy day all around. I spent the morning getting caught up on house chores, then had a busy day at work when my computer lost its WIFI connection. Normally, I wouldn't bother my son with work issues, but I was so beyond frustrated, that I called him and he walked me through the whole thing and we got it up and running! And then, on the way home, Dan texted me to say that he was bringing home dinner! Love those two guys:)

How was your week?  Link up with Suzanne and the rest of the Friday Fave Five crowd and share if you'd like.

I love meeting up with friends for coffee and/or lunch. I try to get together with one friend or another once a week. Yesterday, I took a teapot and teacups over to a very new friend's house. I'm on the greeting ministry at my church, so when this new, expecting couple showed up one morning last November, I reached out to them. They had just moved here. Now that she's had the baby and is up for company, I went over for a visit.

It's great to have tech-savvy loved ones, for sure! A couple Sundays ago, my son-in-law spent a couple hours working on my computer for me.

How thoughtful of your husband to bring home dinner. Dinner you don't have to cook yourself makes for easy clean-up.

Have a fantastic day,

Sounds like you achieved a lot this week and having dinner brought home is always a bonus. Have a good weekend.

A nice collection of faves! My two closest friends don't live here, but you remind me I need to set aside time for a catch-up phone call. So wonderful that the new baby is doing so well! I'm glad, too, to have sons I can call over computer issues. Sounds like the back yard is coming together nicely!

I'm glad your son can help with those kinds of issues. It certainly is frustrating!
Bob is working on a project here too. They never end, do they? But it's fun at the same time.

It rained so much and then thunderstorms, impossible to do anything in the yard (am I happy, lol)

Sounds like a productive week.
Getting together with friends is always fun.
Computer issues, not so much--though it sounds
like you got the problem tackled.

We need rain very badly, it has been sooo HOT here!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Congrats to your friend. Glad to hear that the little guy is doing good. Having a handy tech guy also known as a hubby or son is a blessing indeed. You'll have to share those good book suggestions. I just finished a really good one you might like called Above All Things by Tanis Rideout. The yard sounds like it's really coming together nicely!

That's a great combination -- getting things done and time to relax, too.
