Road Trip

Dan and I are heading out for a short road trip tomorrow morning.  Lilly is happy that her favorite boy will be housesitting for us. The one who lets her sleep on the bed with him.

So, I won't be here for Friday Fave Five.  Which is a bummer, because I had so many good things happen this week, that I won't get to tell you about.  Like the gorgeous weather we're having and on the last day of summer I spent a couple of hours cleaning up the garden for fall.  And when I went for my morning walk, there were two beautiful hot air balloons hovering overhead, and a hawk perched on a post nearby.

If I were doing Friday Favorites, I would include Lilly's groomer who is as sweet as they come.  She knows Lil doesn't like having her nails clipped, but if they sit on the floor together and Judy puts Lilly in her lap, she's not so nervous.

Another favorite would be a phone call with a dear friend, who shared with me the experience she had the night before of her father's passing.  It was peaceful and beautiful, and my friend felt so blessed by how everything fell in place so that she could be with her dad.

And I would certainly include dinner with my dear 'Soul Sisters', the name we've given to our spiritual book group.  I love each and every one of these women, who have been my friends since my oldest was in kindergarten.

I can't wait to share our adventures with you when we get back!

Enjoy your holiday!

Very happy to see that you state, that your house will be house-sat! I always worry, when people post that they are "going-away." It seems an invitation, to bad people, to do bad things.
