Checking in

I've been writing blog posts in my head for the past couple days, trying to come up with one to jump back in here.  The past couple months have been busy and full to say the least, with a new granddaughter, getting the backyard landscaped and planted (we're do-it-yourselfers) and a trip thrown in at the end of May.

I decided to look through my calendar to see just what has been filling my days. (Yes, I'm a kindergartner at heart and love to cut, paste, draw things on my calendar:/)

My calendar is a combination of appointments and events, as well as lists of things to do.  My list method is to put a little square next to each item, so I can check things off as I go and feel very accomplished:)

Here's a sampling, in no particular order, of what has filled my calendar for the past 8 weeks.

Easter dinner menu . . . Costco run . . . Water aerobics. . . get vacuum cleaner tuned up. . . renew driver's license . . .walk with Joan . . . On June 2, Dan and I celebrated our 31st wedding anniversary.  It was on a Tuesday, so we both worked, and that evening he and Luke had a softball game.  I went and watched, along with Marcus, Emily and Brooklynn.  It seemed the perfect way to celebrate 31 years of marriage.  Afterward, we all went our separate ways, and as Dan and I were walking to his pickup truck he took my hand and asked, 'can I buy you an ice cream?'  We decided that 25 years of marriage is marked by silver, 30 years is rubies, and 31 must be softball and ice cream.  I like that the best.

It's nice to be blogging again:)

I think it was an ideal, and romantic, 31st celebration. Congratulations to both of you!

I've watched for your posts but figured you were living life with little time to blog about it. Nice to see you here though.

What a busy gal you have been!
I bet if everyone wrote on their
calendars each day, we would be
surprised to see that things do
get done.
Congrats on your anniversary and
your celebration sounded perfect!!

Glad to see you!

Happy, happy belated anniversary! Love that "take the vacuum in" got bolder and bigger! So like me!! I think I need one of those kinds of calendars so I can keep track of events and my to do list. Little scraps all over is just not working! Good to see you back!

Love, love, LOVE your calendar! I've switched to using the electronic one on my Mac, and miss having a paper one sometimes. Yours is fabulous! :)

Happy Belated Anniversary!
