Wednesday Daybook

"Every day is a blank page."

FOR TODAY, March 4, 2015

[Note:  So I started this on Monday and the "outside my window" part hasn't really changed much.  Continuing on . . . ]
Outside my window . . . This was our patio over the weekend.  Winter and Spring have been playing tag for the past two weeks.  More snow tomorrow and 60s this coming weekend!

I am listening to . . . Classical piano music on Pandora.

I am thinking . . . about what book I'm going to read next.  Probably my book club selection for this month, Little Chapel on the River by Gwendolyn Bounds.

I am thankful . . . for the family and friends that showered so much love on my daughter last weekend.  Her baby is due in just a few weeks!

In the kitchen . . . lots of stick-to-your-ribs kinds of meals.  Stuffed cabbage rolls, chicken pot pie and spaghetti sauce.  Tastes so good on these cold winter days.

I am wearing . . . jeans, boots, V-neck sweater.

I am creating . . . a quilt for my granddaughter, Siefer Daisy:)  I'm also knitting a blanket for the new baby, but not very happy with the yarn I'm using.  I may start over.

I am going . . . to keep enjoying these cozy winter days.  Don't hate me because I love them.  Spring will be here in time.

I am hoping. . . my son will get good news soon on the job front.

I am looking forward to . . . getting together with family for pizza night on Friday.

I am learning . . . that I'm totally useless if I don't have quiet time to relax and rejuvenate.  I guess I'm not learning that, I've always known it.  I'm learning not to push the limit!

Around the house . . . Dan finished building shelves in our storage area in the basement.  I spent all day Saturday organizing, one of my favorite things to do!

A favorite quote for today . . . "Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage."

One of my favorite things . . . when my nieces call and ask for one of Grandma's recipes.

A few plans for the rest of the week . . . water aerobics, hair cut and highlights, going to see the Cartier exhibit at the Denver Art Museum.

A peek into my day . . . Emily and me:)

That baby is coming soon! I love the fabric for the blanket. It'll be a treasure for sure.

Looks like you've been busy and that I have missed a lot!!! congratulations on the new grandbaby that's on the way!!! The quilt that you are making is going to be adorable.
I love your attitude toward winter, I kinda feel the same. I'm excited for the impending snow storm that is going to hit us tomorrow.
Have a great weekend!!!! stay warm.

It sounds like your weather and ours are quite similar though we don't have that dump of snow right now, just the cold. And next week will be like spring! Love that picture of you and Emily.
