Friday Favorites

Some of the best moments in the week ~~

1.  Hitting golf balls with my nephew, my favorite 8-year-old in the whole world.

2.  A long, lazy afternoon at my dad's for the Fourth of July.  Trading books and recipes with my stepmom.

3.  My mother-in-law is making progress, slowly but surely, from surgery she had a month ago.  Her grace and dignity in this long recuperation has been an inspiration to all of us.

4.  Starting a new book:

5.  Breakfast with friends, only working one day, a fabulous year for rosebushes, and popsicles on the back porch.  I know that's more than five things, but sometimes I just can't help myself:)

Share your favorites for the week and link up with Suzanne and the crew over at Living to Tell the Story!

I think I have that book in my basket but with a different cover. Now I'll have to go check. ;)

Sounds like you had a great week. One day of work? Thumbs up on that one for sure.

I have noticed that the roses are spectacular this year. I'm not sure where you are but I'm in Massachusetts and they are absolutely beautiful. I keep thinking I don't remember a time when the roses were so pretty

All great Friday Favorites! Your 4th of July was a good one. I hope it included delicious food.

I watched fireworks with a girlfriend and two of my daughters. (The husbands are not a fan of crowds.) My daughters got an education by people watching, as all types of people were at the huge park/amphitheatre for the musical event and fireworks.

Spending time with the younger generation is so affirming for both age groups. And hitting golf balls sounds so cool.

So glad that your mother-in-law is recuperating well - even if it is slow. My hope is that when it's my turn, I make progress with grace and dignity.

Have a good week, Karen.
