Favorites in Mexico

We got back from our trip to Mexico on Tuesday night and part of me is still there.  I'm thinking about all the things I loved about it . . . here are just five. . .

1.  The flowers and fauna. . . I took about a hundred pictures, the plants were gorgeous and so different than anything we have at home.

2.  This was our first experience going to an all-inclusive resort. . . the service was excellent, the food was to die for and the beverages plentiful, cool and refreshing. Total relaxation. Five days of being waited on and not having to cook. . . yeah!

3.  At first, I was a bit leery of this guy and his gazillion cousins that roamed the place.  But we came to a mutual understanding -- he didn't bother me and I tried not to be a total paparazzi.  He's just so fascinating, don't you think?  I'm grateful that in time I got over my squeamishness and saw the beauty in the beast him.

4.  The weather was gorgeous and sunny.  The colors seem so much brighter there.

5.  Most favorite thing. . . the ocean.  I could (and did) spend hours on the beach, taking in the colors and the gentle breezes and the smell of the fresh air. There was a full moon while we were there, and the light reflected on the water. . . pretty, pretty, pretty.

I'm so grateful for the chance to spend some time in paradise with my husband and our good friends!
