Monday

For today . . . Monday, April 2, 2012

Outside my window. . .a cold and breezy day.  The skies were heavy and gray all day, but no snow or rain save for a few drops.

I am thinking. . .March was a beautiful, sunny month.  The driest on record for our state. Some April showers would be nice.

I am thankful for. . .my wonderful family taking care of me all week!  My Aunt Ann has taken on the dinner responsibilities, much to Dan's relief, as he has taken on so many of the remaining household duties.  They are quite a pair, keeping up with it all.

From the kitchen. . .well, I haven't been in there for a week, so I've got nothing new!

I am creating. . .order out of chaos in the photo files on my computer.

I am going. . .to see my podiatrist for post-op on Thursday.  He should give me the 'okay' to get back  in the swimming pool, and I hope I can shed these crutches soon.

I am looking forward to . . . having Easter dinner with my family on Sunday.

I am hearing. . .Dan and Luke watching the NCAA championship game.

Around the house. . .I'm leaving a trail of stuff wherever I go.  For once I can't blame dirty dishes and mugs, and stray shoes, on my kids.

One of my favorite things. . . Japanese Cherry Blossom lotion from Bath & Bodyworks

A few plans for the rest of the week. . . dinner with girlfriends, vet appointment for the dog, coffee with my friend, Terry.

I am pondering. . . what someone shared with me today.  Even Mother Teresa had a couple of failed attempts when she first set up her ministry to help the poor.  At the time, she did the best she could, and she learned from her lessons.  Why can't I cut myself some slack when someone tells me, "You did the best you could with what you knew at the time."
A favorite quote. . . "This is what I shall tell my heart, and so recover hope: the favors of Yahweh are not all passed, his kindnesses are not exhausted.  They are renewed every morning."
 (Lamentations 3:21-22)

Many thanks to Peggy at The Simple Woman's Daybook for hostessing this meme.  It continues to be one of my favorites.  It's a great way to start the week!  If you'd like to join in, here's the link.

Healing comes slowly sometimes. It sounds like the pampering your family is providing is keeping your spirits in good shape. Have a blessed Holy week.♥♫

One of my favorite scriptures that I think about daily and am very thankful for!

My friend had the Japenese Cherry Blossom candle burning last night during study. It was lovely.

I can hardly wait to have the family together at Easter time too.

Glad to hear your foot is doing well! What a blessing to have all that help.

Sounds like you are having a lovely time even with your surgery. Rest and take time for yourself, you won't have much after you heal
