Friday Favorites

My favorites this week:
  • Right this minute it's snowing.  Blustery wind chasing tiny flakes that cover everything like powdered sugar.  It feels right, because it is January, for heaven's sake.
  • Getting the oil changed in the car.  That's done and I can mark it off my list for another 3,000 miles.
  • Chinese food
  • Meeting my brother at a mom-and-pop cafe for breakfast.  Instead of the usual fancy coffee shop.  Drinking plain old coffee and eating an English muffin.  I think we'll do this more often.
  • Trading in a bunch of my old books at the local used book store and coming away with two new (for me) Sandra Dallas books. For free!
  • store credit at Kohl's
  • Friends and family who listen. And listen. And listen.
  • Lilly's ears.  If you could feel how soft they are, they would be on your favorite list, too.
That's more than five, but still joining up with Susanne's Friday's Fave Five.

:) I am on the quest of trading in my books, too. The book shop I have found is 45 minutes away, so I'm not sure when it will happen. But it will!

I love these. Max's ears are the softest part of his body. I just spent an hour petting them while waiting for the vet. Max has a sprained something in his leg, we just don't know what. Ironically my oldest son has a severely sprained ankle.

Yikes!

We had no snow (yet) in Belgium. It was always too warm. I love to pet my cats, they have such a soft fur ! Your dog is so cute !

We haven't had any significant snow here yet. Last year we had a lot. I'm used to having it once or twice a year, and that's about how often I like it. :-)

I know what you mean about the satisfaction of getting tasks like oil changes done and not having to think about them again for a while.

The mom-and-pop cafe meeting sounds fun.

I love your list. We've had very little snow this year - such a strange, strange winter!

I can just feel the silkiness of those ears!

Compared to your January, ours is crazy-mixed-up. It's 78F today, for example. Love your lists of good things this week from Chinese food to Lilly's soft ears ;-)
