Happy Anniversary to Friday Fave Five!

This is Susanne's 150th edition of Friday Fave Five. Wow!  It always amazes me how quickly time flies when you're blogging.  I never would have thought, four years ago, that I would keep my blog going all this time.  But I love it, and have loved getting to know so many other bloggers.  Susanne (my long lost twin) has become one of my favorites:) and I dedicate this edition of FFF to her.

1.  On Wednesday, my brother was in town (unexpectedly) and treated Luke, Emily and I to lunch at Red Robin (kids' choice) Such a nice surprise.

2.  After driving for a 100 miles and looking at every store that carries curtains (I'm exaggerating, but not by much), I found a new valance for the kitchen.  I will post a photo when I do the kitchen reveal as soon as the cabinets are finished.  Which will be soon!

3.  Luke got his cast off and is now wearing a lightweight splint.  He's a happy camper.  Thank you to everyone who has been asking for him.  He's doing great!

4.  My husband.  I should have listed him at #1.  He should be #1 through 5.  I married a gem of a man.  I love him for many,  many reasons, but this week I'm reminded of how much he does for us and how many times he puts his own projects aside (which are usually projects he's doing for me) to help me with mine.  Like spending an evening cutting crown molding for the kitchen cabinets because I decided that I wanted to paint the cabinets and wouldn't they look nice with crown molding on the top?

5. New movies!  There are several that I want to see -- why is it so often feast or famine when it comes to good movies? -- but I'm especially excited to see The Help which comes out on Wednesday.  Loved the book!

How was your week?  If you're so inclined, head on over to Susanne's and join in the 150th edition of Friday's Fave Five!

I know what you mean about #4, your hubby. Same goes for mine. He does a great job on MY projects, so willingly! They're priceless.

Glad to hear the cast is off! Enjoy your week.

Hi Karen!
What a blessing it is to have a fine husband. I'm blessed, too.
Glad Luke's doing great. How fun to have a special treat from your brother! Good memories for all.
Have a great weekend...

Yay Luke! Wait till therapy starts ... it will separate the men from the boys :)

And I can't wait to see The Help either. I LOVED that book as well, and have recommended it to everyone. Wish we could go see it together :)

Karen, your Friday posts always make me smile, so I would have to add you as number 6 even though you only need 5.
Have a great weekend,

Hi Karen,
I didn't know The Help comes out on Wednesday. Hurray. The book really made me think. There is going to be (maybe already) a free study guide for it. I am anxious to see this as I think it has great potential for a small group.

Also hurray for finding THE valance for your kitchen and for a hubby who cuts crown molding to go with a new paint job. It is always extra special when a decorating project comes to an end. Hopefully it looks like the picture in your head.

Have a great weekend.

You are so sweet. I can't believe how much you and I have in common, for sure.

I can hardly wait to see the Help. I loved that book too and hope the movie stays true to the book. I've got a friend all lined up to see it Wednesday night.

You need to come and help me find kitchen valences. I've been looking for more than a year and haven't found anything I like. I can hardly wait to see the finished project pictures of your kitchen.

Glad to hear Luke is doing good and into a splint. It must have been hot with that thing on.

And hurray for a great husband who willingly does so much to help you.
Looking forward to seeing photos of the crown molding and the valance~!

I've been longing to see the Help since I first saw the trailer months ago. Can't believe it's finally here (well, tomorrow, anyway). I've not read the book, didn't even realize there was one!

A good husband.. what a gift!
I'm glad you had a nice visit with your brother, and found the elusive valance, too.
We saw Captain America last week, and I hope to see the Help, too. I love a good movie!
I hope Luke continues to heal and strengthen!
