Wednesday Daybook

FOR TODAY:  Wednesday, April 27, 2011

Outside my window. . . the sun is shining, skies are blue.  The blossoms on the crabapple trees have already reached their peak, and the falling blossoms are being replaced with green leaves.

I am thinking. . . how tempting it is to start planting, but how foolish that would be!

I am thankful for . . . my husband of 27 years.

From the kitchen. . . pork chops and applesauce!

I am wearing. . . Jeans, white v-necked knit top, a new bracelet watch (bday gift from DH and the kids). And new sneakers:)

I am creating. . . plans for a graduation party.

I am reading. . . The Meaning of Mary Magdalene, by Cynthia Bourgeault

On my mind. . . trying to live in the moment, just breathe, and savor each day.

Around the house. . . things are so neglected!  So much going on in the past few weeks.

One of my favorite things. . . the owl that is nesting in the open space near our house.  I have been stopping each day to peek at her through my binoculars. She's beautiful!

A few plans for the rest of the week. . . It's already Wednesday and its been such a busy week.  Tomorrow my dad is coming for lunch and we're going to have a look at that owl through his spotting scope.  Friday, Dan and Em have a date to go to the baseball game, so I'll spend the evening with girlfriends.  This weekend Em has a softball tournament.

A small window into my life. . .

Linking up with Peggy at the The Simple Woman's Daybook.

I think owls are the most beautiful, majestic birds around. They are absolutely stunning! What a blessing to be able to see one from your home.

Have a blessed rest of your week.
