Simple photo project

I've been having fun doing small projects lately.  This is one with old family photos, my favorite thing.

I took a print of Dan and his brother and sister, enlarged it and printed it in black and white.

Did the same with a print of our three kids when they were "little."

And I already had a 5x7 of me and my three brothers.

I bought some inexpensive black frames from Walm*rt.  They look so clean and fresh on this wall, which is a pale, celery green.  It looks kind of blah in the picture, but trust me, it's a beautiful shade of green:)  I love how the black and white prints makes it look rather timeless.

Have a nice weekend!

Perfect! I love old family photos like that.

I have one of my brother and me on my dresser. And I have a big picture of me and a big picture of my husband, as children, on our bedroom wall. They are so fun to see and always elicit a conversation from visitors.

What a clever idea, Karen! I love that you blew up snapshots rather than studio portraits. I may borrow this. I almost hate taking on projects such as this, though, which involve dragging out old photos. Once I start going through them, it's sometimes days before I can pull myself away. ;-Þ

Hi Karen,
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I love the pictures! We recently did a photo wall in our living room, using old family pictures - pictures of our grand parents, great grandparents and our parents as kids. We did ours in Sepia.

Very cute! Looks great!
I have done this with two pictures
of Mr. Ken and I at about the same age. He is on a scooter in front of his house and I'm on my trike
in front of my house. They are such fun pictures.

I love your wall of photos. We recently moved and I have been planning to put black and white old photos framed in black on a wall also. Thanks for the idea of printing it in black and white. I have been behind in my blogging, but hope to get back to it soon.
