How was your weekend?

This Weekend I. . . is a meme that my friend Becky started, and she said I get to take over hosting it!  It's a fun, easy way to look back over your weekend and answer the question, "So, what did you do this weekend?"  Just make a bullet list, add photos if you'd like, but keep it simple.  Nobody needs to stress out on a Monday:)  Add your name to the Linky List below, so we can come see you!  And be sure to grab the button on my sidebard!

This weekend, I . . .
  • baked chocolate chip cookies
  • had a nice chat on the phone with my dad, who is snowbirding down south for a few months
  • danced a happy dance when Dan and the boys took the Christmas lights down!
  • stayed home all weekend, and even sent my #2 son to the grocery store with a list so I didn't have to go out
  • took a long walk with my husband
  • prepared make-your-own pizzas for supper Saturday night
  • basically, had a very calm, relaxing weekend
  • finished reading this book, which I can't recommend enough.  If you haven't read it, go find a copy right now!

So, what'd you do this weekend?

Sounds like a wonderful weekend to me! I love that you sent your son to the grocery store with a list, that made me LOL! :)

I have read that book and really enjoyed it... so glad you did too! It took me about a dozen pages to settle into the letter format, and after that, I just loved it!

Hope you have a great week ahead! :)

I love relaxing weekends, and OTHER PEOPLE who do my grocery shopping, AND that book. One of my favs.

I've heard so much about that book, but haven't read it. I'm definitely going to check it out now.

We stayed in all weekend, staying cozy in our single digit temperatures! A fire in the fireplace, a couple of good meals, good books, and all is well :)

That is one of my all time favorite books too. :) I love your weekend and chocolate chip cookies. I have cut back on my chocolate intake. I am doing a fitness overhaul on my life. lol

Sounds like a great way to spend the weekend.

Mine was spent dealing with what I found out at the Dr's today--a virus. Two of my student's decided to share their sicknesses with me.

What fun!!!

The title of that book alone makes me want to read it! ;-)

I just love the months following the holidays. I know a lot of people find it a down time (as in the dumps), but I find it relaxing, following the hooplah of the holidays.

Thanks for taking over the "This weekend I..." for Becky. I will try to get back into this next time!
Sounds like my kind of weekend! I have never heard of the book ~ I will see if our little library has it.
