Decorating, beach style

Yankee Candle "Dune Grass" candle, beach sand, shells we found on the beach, and a sand dollar that my cousin gave me. Makes for pretty, summer decorating and fun memories!

Very "beachy" and simple. I love it! I also love Yankee Candles. What a wonderful way to remember your great trip. Are you all settled back in at home yet? We are not taking any big vacation this summer. We are hoping to go to Disneyland over Christmas though--not sure if we will be able to afford it or not. Your trip looked and sounded wonderful!

So glad you're home after all your excitement and all is well. Love the candle decoration - made so special with things you've collected on the way. Love those sand dollars! Had a few once when visiting with a friend in Sanibel Island Florida but couldn't bring them home to Oz because of customs restrictions - sad!
Blessings!

You are a modern day Dorothy Draper. Classy!

Did Dan get to show you & the kids his childhood haunts in KC?

Karen,

You are the sweetest thing around. Thank you so much for your comments.

I love your beachy look. I can almost smell the sea air.

I love that! I have something similar in my home as well. Three tall apothocary jars filled with layers of blue and white sand (to match my decor!) and inside I have a candle and shells from our trip to Mexico. It's a great way to remember a fun time! I'm happy to see that you are remembering good times as well!

That is really pretty! I haven't seen a smaller candle inside a larger glass container like that - it's very eye-catching.

There must be sand somewhere out here in western Colorado. You know I love this. Gorgeous.
