Wednesday

I'm thankful for Wednesdays. It's a 'late start' day for my daughter, which means school begins at 9:30 instead of 8:30, giving the teachers an hour each week to have team time to consult about students' progress.

For us, it means we get to take it easy on Wednesday mornings and it's become a tradition to go out for bagels on the way to school. If I could start every day at 9:30 I would be a happy camper. I am so not a morning person. I never have been. Just give me an extra hour and a second cup of coffee, and I'll be fine.

I do love Wednesdays.

Every weekday morning when my alarm goes off it is getting harder and harder to get up at 5:30am. UGH! Where is the justice?

I can identify with you, as I am so not a morning person.

The outing for bagels sounds nice. Those little traditions that get started are good memory makers. :-)

That's neat that you get a late day! I am with you... I could use more morning time.

LOL I feel the same way, not a morning person at all.

My new job is M-F 9:30-5:30, and at first I thought about changing the hours (since I'm the only one here), but I really have grown to like it. I'm still up by 5 or 5:30, but I have plenty of time to run errands before work - or sleep late if I feel like rolling back over when the alarm rings. And the traffic has ebbed by the time I head downtown.

i forgot that wednesdays used to be late start for my kids, too. we never went out for bagels (great idea, tho) but it was nice to have a little extra time in the morning. plus, if it's wednesday, you're week is half over =)

I like that idea of a late morning start! And Wednesday means your week is half over! Mmmm, going for bagels is nice too.

That is nice you have a bagel tradition. They will always remember this....did you ever decide on Thanksgiving plans?

Nothing better than bagels, a cup of coffee, and a late start! I am right there with you on that one! Getting up to get Sam to zero hour jazz band 3 mornings a week is killing me--it means that alarm starts going off at 6:10, so I can manage to roll out of bed by 6:40! I know--I am pathetic but I do love my snooze alarm. :)
