Behr's Stable Hay 310E-2

I love this color. I would bathe in it if I could. If it were a drink, I would consume it by the gallon, and if it were a fabric it would be the only color in my wardrobe. That's how much I love this color.

I spent this afternoon coloring the walls with it. I'm starting in the loft, but I'm sure I won't stop there. It just makes me happy and calm and at peace. When I open the can, it looks like egg nog. Rich, thick, creamy egg nog. But when it's rolled on the walls, it warms up and becomes a soft, golden light. Like the color of wheat when it's ready to be harvested or the light in a Rembrandt painting. And then as it dries, it turns all buttery and soft. It's the color of sunlight in autumn or highlights in a baby's hair. It reminds me of my mother's kitchen, not because her kitchen was that color, but because it gives me comfort, just like sharing a pot of tea at her kitchen table.

If I could find my camera, I would take a picture of this color. But it probably wouldn't come out the same. Because on a computer screen you wouldn't get the warmth that comes from this color as it lies on a textured wall, touched by the sun. Just take my word for it. This color is heaven in a can of paint.

I may have to go check out that color at paint store. I am in angst over what color to paint my dd's former bedroom which is gradually becoming my office. That shade sounds lovely.

Nice! Did I mention that I have lots of walls that need painting? Just bring yourself and your tools right on down to the south and paint to your hearts content!

I'm going to check it out too... I need to repaint my den. The color it is now sounds very similar. It is a wheat color.

Well, I can't wait for you to find the camera because I bet it is beautiful.

Just read your daybook. I forgot to do that Monday, but couldn't have anyway. Monday was crazy busy, and I am glad it is over. Hopefully next Monday will be better, and I can participate.

Happy Wednesday to you!

I love this color! We just bought a house, and I painted the great room with this gorgeous color! My husband and I had some huge fights over color choices, and we painted two other color in two days until we settled on this. I love this color, and he does too.

It brings you joy, peace, warmth, and comfort like the other post says. It makes the house looks so much nicer. I thought it was too light and too yellow when I first applied it, but it looks great. I like it so much that I googled it and found this post. I think I will just paint the whole house with it.
